Yacht Underwater Lights Installation & LED Refits

Illuminate Your Vessel. Attract Attention. Define Your Style.

Transforming your yacht’s profile after dark or attracting marine life requires precision installation and the right technology. Our team excels in underwater light refits, upgrading older halogen systems to modern, energy-efficient LED marine lighting. We are certified installation experts for premier brands like Lumitec, OceanLED, and Lumishore, ensuring a flawless, watertight installation that enhances both the beauty and value of your vessel in South Florida waters.

We prioritize performance, durability (IP68/IP69K ratings), and seamless control integration via systems like Lumitec’s Poco digital controller.

  • Lumitec: Market leader known for American-made durability and value, featuring the high-output SeaBlazeX2 (6,000 lumens) and SeaBlaze Quattro series.

  • OceanLED: Pioneers in underwater lighting, favored for high-performance through-hull fixtures and wide beam angles.

  • Lumishore: The premium choice for superyachts, offering sophisticated EOS color-changing systems and powerful thruster-light integration.

  • Shadow-Caster: Known for robust construction and simple, yet powerful, color-syncing capabilities.

We manage the entire process, ensuring every light is positioned correctly (8-16 inches below the waterline) to maximize its visual impact and lifespan.

  • Thru-Hull Installations: The cleanest look for large yachts, requiring precise drilling and watertight seals.

  • Surface Mount Refits: Ideal for easy retrofitting without major hull modification, using high-quality sealants like 3M Marine Grade 5200.

  • Color Control: Integration with your existing MFD (Garmin, Raymarine) or dedicated controllers for full RGBW spectrum customization and strobe modes.

Installation Type Aesthetic Goal Best For Considerations
Surface Mount Easy, low-impact installation Retrofits, Outboard Boats No large hull holes
Thru-Hull Mount Cleanest, factory finish New Builds, Large Yachts Requires precise drilling
Drain Plug Mount Zero drilling required Small Boats, Tenders Lower lumen output

We provide expert underwater light sales and installation in all South Florida Marinas, from Miami Beach to Jupiter.

What color light is best for attracting fish to my yacht?

Green light is widely considered the most effective color for attracting marine life because it penetrates murky water exceptionally well and stimulates the food chain. White is a great all-around option for brightness and clarity, while blue offers a classic “yacht luxury” aesthetic in clear water.

A general rule of thumb for effective coverage on an inboard boat is one light for every 2.5 to 5 feet of beam (width). For a twin-engine setup, three lights (one center, two outboard) usually work well. We measure your specific hull shape to optimize light spread and avoid “dark spots.”

It is generally recommended not to run surface-mount lights while the boat is underway at speed. The water acts as a crucial heat sink; running them dry for extended periods can cause internal components to overheat and fail. Thru-hull lights handle this better, but best practice is to use them when stationary or at very low idle speeds.

All underwater objects attract marine growth in South Florida. However, LED lights produce very little heat compared to old halogen lights, which reduces the rate of barnacle growth. Maintenance is still necessary; regular cleaning (especially the lens) ensures maximum brightness and prevents light blockage.
